We're on the move!

Well as our last couple of weeks close up here in Palmer, Its been hard. I love my job and the students I work with, and plus being pregnant, packing and chasing Rylea and trying to keep everything as normal as possible its starting to catch up with me. Every day I feel like I am going to cry when I come to work and I pray everyday I can find a job that is as rewarding as this one. But if I do not find one before I have Major, I am surely going to enjoy spending time with Rylea.

Last night was the Atheltic banquet, and the boys gave Ryan and signed football. It was so sweet because it is the last thing he expected from them, since the new coach is hired and everyone has seemed to moved on. I truly now know what it means to be a "coach's wife" everyone always tells me how hard it is, and the moving and the drama, we never had to really deal with it until this year, and we have come full circle.

We are so excited about taking on our new life starting in Baytown... seeing our family and friends more often and making new friends.

Well looks like our life will be changing a little more than just expecting another baby...

We are saying goodbye to our home in Palmer, and moving to Baytown!!

Ryan is going to be the new quarterback coach for Goose Creek Memorial High School.

It is very bittersweet, we love Palmer and our house and friends, but its going to be so nice to move closer to our family and friends back home...escpecially with another baby on the way.

I will keep everyone updated on our move, and when its actually going to take place....

Today while I was getting Rylea ready for school, I just realized how big and independent she is getting... She didn't want to wear the clothes I was putting on her, and she didn't want me to help her put on her shoes. When did this happen?!?!

My little baby girl who used to want me to hold her when she was going to sleep... now doesn't even want me to hug her.

When I go get her from school now, she wants to walk down the hall by her self and walk to the car by herself...

Everyone always said that these days would fly by... and boy they have.

Rylea has such a little personality and I always tell myself I can't wait for her to be able to make a complete sentence and have her tell me what she wants, or what she wants to do... but now I just want to keep her like this forever...

Its Been Long Time!

Hey! well its been a while since I have been on to post anything, so I am going to start keeping up with it.. I promise!!

Nothing new has been going on, except our little princess is getting bigger by the day! Her new word is "football" well it sounds more like "ootball" but it is soo cute! Ryan loves it!!

I posted some pictures from the Holidays... we are so blessed to have such a wonderful family and friends!

I can't believe it.. my sweet baby girl is already 1 years old!! Poor thing her birthday this year is on Thursday which is JV day... then tomorrow is her daddy's first football game againt Lone Oak. We are having her party on Saturday...

I haven't posted anything is a long long time... we have been soo busy and I have a lot of stuff to post about, so a lot of things maybe out of order..

Last week Ryan and I were on vacation, so we decided to go home for the week. We just wanted to relax and have fun with Rylea and our family.

Rylea LOVED the beach, she made a little friend named Drake.. and it's a very small world. Because the family that we met, the Taylors, actually know Remica's brother, and Remica and Flint. Its so much to fun to meet different people when don't expect too.

We're Crawling!

So little Miss Rylea decided on Easter that she wanted my cell phone.. so she just crawled over to it.. I knew it would be soon, because she has been able to get up on her hands and knees for a while now.. but man she took off! Luckliy I was on vacation this week, so I got to be at home with her while she has been on the move, exploring the house. Her favorite place to go.. is her closet!

.. I am still behind on posting pictures and such, I need to get on that!

6 month check-up!

Rylea turned 6 months on Friday.. wow how time flies! She is right on schedule, she is 16lbs 11oz and 26.5 inches long! She has started to try to sit up on her own.. but she is rolling all over the place!

Finally Feeling Better

Yesterday was the first day, that Rylea has felt good.. she played and bounced all day! We got a little of her bouncing on video... She's not wearing any clothes because someone decided to go to the bathroom while mom was changing her diaper.. and then she was much more happier with no clothes on..

Valentines Day Fun

Valentines Day was such a fun day! my parents and sister came up to Palmer to see us. It was such a nice day on Saturday we all decided it would be a great day to go to the Dallas Aboretum.. we took lots of great pictures, even though Rylea slept most of the time.. it was still a fun day!
After we went to the Arboretum, we went to one of mine and Ryans favorite hamburger place Snuffers.. then they took Rylea and Ryan and I had a much needed date day.

RSV / Pneumonia

Our baby girl is sick.. she has had a cold, but that is all I thought it was. We had gone to the Dr. before and she told us, just to let it pass. Well it never did, I finally got tired of it on Friday and called Dr. Strength.. Thank goodness I did. We took Rylea in and they tested her for RSV, which she had.. but that is the only thing the Dr. could tell at the Dr. office, she sent us to the Hospital for some x-rays.. I was in tears, and thinking how are they going to x-ray a 5 month old that won't lay still?? Rylea actually did pretty good, it only took one try.

Well the results came in and she has Pneumonia!!

She is taking antibiotics and is on breathing treatment... everything right now is looking good and she is getting better everyday!

Today Rylea ate food! Her first bite was of Gerber Organic Sweet Potatoes.. she didn't really show if she liked it or not.. but it was funny to watch her face the first time she tasted it..

Lazy Sunday

This has been such a great weekend.. Ryan and I both had to work Saturday morning.. but we spent the rest of the weekend just running errands and playing with Rylea.. We took her to Babies R Us.. we have now realized we are going to wait a little longer to have our second child, so we don't have two babies in diapers.. its expensive!

Rylea is really moving! although she hasn't rolled over yet, she just inches across the floor.. I have a feeling when she does start crawling and walking we are going to have a hard time keeping up with her.

She got really tired.. we spent about 30 minutes on the floor.

For the past 3 years Ryan has been the Offensive Coordinator for the Palmer Bulldogs.. Well this week they named him Head Coach!! we are so excited, and looking forward to next football season!

Rylea's 4 month Check Up!!!

Time flies I can't believe that we just had Rylea's 4 month check up...
She is such a big girl.. she is 15 pounds and 2 ounces, and 25 inches long..
Ryan and I took her to the Dr. because we thought it was going to be bad when she got her shots, but she just whimmperd a little.
Dr. Strength told us we could start feeding her rice cereal, and giving her water..
well she hates both! we have tired mixing it with water, and with her milk, and she just keeps on spitting it out. if you have any suggestions on how to get her to eat it.. let me know :)

Rylea's First Trip to the Zoo!

While we were home for Christmas, We took Rylea on her first trip to the Houston zoo. Even though she didn't know what anything was, it was such a beautiful day, and we went with our good friends Derek and Shiloh and Rylea's bestfriend Caden.

Teething!

Oh my goodness!! I have heard the stories of teething babies.. but you never listen until its your baby. Rylea just bust into tears for no reason, then she is drooling like crazy, and spitting up, and running a little bit of a fever and she looks like she wants to eat everything that is near her.. Atleast we are still in town and we have a lot of help..

but that is going to end on Thursday when we make our journey back to Palmer.. Please pray for us, that we don't loose our mind on the 3 1/2 hour car ride..

Rylea's First Christmas!

This has been a very exciting Christmas, it was Rylea's first and although she had no idea what was going on... it seemed like she was really excited about all the presents she got..

Our first Christmas party was on the Sunday before, at my Grandma Mitchell's house.. Rylea got to meet all of her cousins, aunts and uncles.. it was very exciting.. and she got lots and lots of gifts!

We always spend Christmas Eve with my family , then we go to the Ryan's family for Christmas, so those two days were jam packed with opening Rylea's gifts.. she was so tired by Christmas Day, she stayed in her pj's all day.. we didn't get to wear our pretty Christmas dress. Rylea got lots of clothes and toys for christmas a lot of she won't be able to use for a couple of months or so...

While we home also.. Rylea got to meet her new friends Bryant and Parker..

I think Parker was a little smitten.. he kept on trying to touch Rylea..

Rylea also went to her first birthday party, her friend Caden turned one. She was so tired she slept the whole time...

We still have a week left of our break.. Ryan and I are so blessed to have this time off, to spend with Rylea and our family and friends. We don't realize how much we miss everyone until we come home.. A lot of things have changed, but a lot are still the same.

Christmas Card

I am so excited about our Christmas Card this year! Especially since its our baby girls first Christmas! We put up our Christmas tree last night, we have one up in our formal, but I put the big one in our living room lastnight.. Rylea just stares at the lights.. its so cute!

Thanksgiving Weekend

This weekend was the first weekend we have all been home since Rylea was born.. We had a lot of fun, and it also wore us out.. It was so good to see our family, and some of our friends.. we wish we could of seen everyone.. But we will be home for 2 weeks during the Christmas break..

Rylea is now 3 months old! we went to Dr. Strength's office because Rylea came down with a bad cold.. and she is now 12 pounds 8 ounces.. she is getting so big! The cold has sort of gone away.. but with all the weather change.. her nose will probably be stuffy for a while.

First we are so thankful, that we have a beautiful baby girl, who is 3 months today!
We are thankful for our health, our love for each other, and our wonderful family and friends.
We are thankful, for our jobs, and the roof over our head.
We are thankful for Gracie and June, for making our lives a little exciting at times, when they run through the house barking..
We have so much to be thankful for....

My Aunt Jill, likes taking pictures, she came to visit me this weekend and she took lots of pictures! I don't really like people moving me around, so they took most of my pictures while I was sleeping!

I am such a sleepy girl.. I love to take my afternoon nap and get my beauty sleep. I have such a hard life.

Our Favorite Things....

After reading Remica's and Kristin's blog on their favorite things, I decided to share my favorite things!

My Caden Lane Messanger Diaper Bag~ Thank you to Ryan for getting it for me, it has been worth every penny!

The Mommy Boppy~ My parents got this for me when I was pregnant, its awesome! I actually still sleep with it and it helps also when I am feeding Rylea.

Baby Week by Week~ This book is great! I had a hard time reading What to Expect the First Year, with the format and everything. This book lets me know what toys Rylea should be playing with, what she should be doing, etc..

Keurig Gourmet Coffee Maker~ it is the best invention ever! it makes a single cup of coffee and you can use one hand!

My short hair cut~ it doesn't take very long to fix it in the mornings so I can sleep in a little, well if Rylea lets me

Lastly, Ryan and My mom!~ Without them I think I would loose my mind sometimes...

Rylea's Favorite Things...

Newborn Boppy Lounger... gosh I wish I was the person who invented the boppy.. its amazing!

Pampers Swaddlers.. That is the best diaper out there! and it fits her little bottom great!

Similac Sensitive~ we used the Simiac Advanced and it gave her gas, we switched to the Sensitive and its awesome!

Aveno Baby lotion~ it cleared her face up and got rid of her dry skin on her head..

Changing Table~ for somereason when Rylea gets upset, we go lay her on her changing table and she stops!

Fisher Price Bouncer~ Rylea hates every swing that she has, but loves her bouncer. I think she has figured out that if she moves her arms, then she bounces.

Rylea Adah Roecker

Rylea Adah Roecker was born August 27, 2008 at 2:05 a.m. She was 6lbs 6oz and 19inches long.

She was a suprise, since she wasn't supposed to be here until Sept. 27th! I was kind of upset when I found out I was going to have her that day, because I had my materinaty leave all figured out.. but I guess everyone is right... Rylea rules my world now.

I stayed home with her for 6 weeks, it was the most amazing time, I wish I could go back and spend it with her again. Although during this time our lives had changed for the better. Not only did we have Rylea, I had applied for an Advising job at Navarro College at the Waxahachie Campus before I had Rylea. During my leave I had two interviews and got the job! LIFE IS GREAT!

So I am back at work now, and my mom is coming up to Palmer every week and watching Rylea. We are so very blessed to have her do that. Although I think she likes it, because she is getting to see her granddaughter get bigger everyday.

Ryan's football season is almost over, unless Palmer makes the playoff's. Its been a tough season, a lot of change... but its nothing that Ryan can't handle. I took Rylea to a couple of football games, she slept through the whole game! I wish I could sleep like that..
